Yesterday I felt like crap, I think the coffee creamer was to blame. The expiration date wasn't for another month but I don't know how long it was on the counter and sped up that date. I threw it out and feel much better today. I spent the morning going through my files and updating the address on all our bills. Then I was getting a little cabin fever so I left. The plan was to pick up a few groceries, however my car has needed an oil change since we moved up here. I used to take it to the dealership but I felt South Jordan was a little far away now. So I stopped at Jiffy Lube, the guys were really nice but 85$ later I figured grocery shopping could wait until payday. No, I did not get ripped off on my oil change. Yes, I know they only cost 39.95, however I had my tires rotated and my plate lights changed out also, and the oil filter replaced. They wanted me to do some kind of air filter replacement for 139 and I told them that I would have to talk to my husband about that. My experience was good and I would go back, it was cute because the techs opened our doors for us as we were leaving. :)
I don't think I told you but our home inspector sucked. Somehow he overlooked the fact that the dining room light doesn't work. We troubleshooted the light step by step (new bulbs to new fixture) and still doesn't work. John was trying to fix it when he realized the dining room is tied to the garage and now half the basement doesn't work. I swear he was only playing with the wires in the dining room fixture. Lucky for us the home warranty covers wiring. :) I place a service request today so hopefully we can get that fixed soon, it would be nice to be able to eat in the light.
Last night I was starting to feel better and was craving ham fried rice, I sent John out to pick up some Chinese. While the food was passable it no were near compared to our favorite hole in the wall in Centerville. Jade Hill is in an old 7-11 building and the host speaks broken English, but the food is wonderful and he is so sweet always insisting the kids clean their plates and always asking about missing family members if we don't go in there together. Defiantly stopping there in August when we head down for D's wedding.
Thats my rantings and ravings for today.
Loves!
