New Family Members

Faith's pretty little hazel eye's got to John and we stopped by the human society today after watching GI Joe. Which by the way was an excellent movie Thanks for inventing us D&D. So anyways as I was saying Faith got to John or rather got to me. The good news is we fulfilled a promise that was made in May and some. We ended up with two new kitties. We almost didn't get them because by the time we decided on which two we wanted the humane society was going to close in 5 minutes. Due to the fact that we were getting two older cats they stayed just a little late for us. :) So we have Flower, who is a 4yo female, who chose Faith as her owner. Flower was very affectionate and loving while there but once we got home she headed straight for the bathroom.

Now Rosie caught my eye from the beginning because of the pretty caramel patch on her face. She is a sweet heart and very adventuresious, even if she did complain and gripe all the way home. We did elongate her name though she is now Countess Rosalyn, Rosie for short. :) Though I call her Countess. She is already having fun exploring her new house with her very sharp claws lol.

She is home!

Oh my oh my! My baby girl is home. I got up this morning at 5:00 am in order to meet her grandparents half way, which is not an issue per say because I get up at that time for work but its Saturday, I should be sleeping in. Its worth it though. For those of you who didn't get to see her in the two days between her hair cut and leaving, a picture is below(hopefully cause I still figuring out this blog thing).

She says that she had a fun summer and that she is excited to be a big sister in March. Yep you heard that right, she will officially not be the youngest of her dad's kids anymore. She likes her dad's girlfriend though so its okay. She had many adventures this summer from trying to pick out a cat at the humane society and bring it home. I nixed that idea didn't want to deal with a kitten in the car for 2 1/2 hours. To falling sideways on her aunt's horse, to watching movies and getting to go on a boat ride on the river. I am glad to have her back and officially put her to work just minutes after walking in the door. Hehehe its such a cruel cruel world we live in.

Painting is all its cracked up to be

So as most of you know John and I bought our first house in March. To get the size of house we wanted we had to by a fixer. We LOVE our house but I am so tired off adding things to the list of stuff that needs fixed. So instead of doing something that needs fixed I decided to do something that I like. Our living room is a pretty robins egg blue or I should say half of it is now. The other half is "Nature's Retreat" a pretty grey color. See for yourself the differance, I also included a picture of the colors we had narrowed it down to. Now the pictures were taken in low light so they do look darker then it really is.

Trains and Rockets

What could be more exciting for two little boys then to get to see trains and rockets all in the same day? I am not sure but for John and Scott it was an awesomer day. Yes people I said awesomer, not just awesome but awesomer.

So John is on call for work this weekend. I don't know how his boss does it but every time I have plans John is scheduled to be on call. Which wouldn't be a big deal because a weekend call is only once a month but instead of going to the hot springs in Idaho that John had planned on doing we had to find something else a little closer to home to do. So I was sitting outside admiring all my pretty weeds while John slowly killed himself and it dawned on me that I have lived in Utah for most of my life and I had never been to Promontory Point. For those of you who don't know what that is, find yourself Utah quarter and take a good long look.

We loaded the blistered boy into the car and drove away. The drive was not that bad, and the conversation was good. We made it to the monument just in time to watch a reenactment. Which I should note here that there was not 1 golden spike but 2 plus a silver one and a gold and silver one. Just so you know my 12 year old informed me of this before we arrived so at least I was not to shocked during the "play". I wont go into the nitty gritty details of how they had to get audience members to help and how some creepy dude stopped me and told me he liked my shirt because it reminded him of Aggie blue.

Once that was over we headed to the ATK rocket display. Took a lot of pictures of the boys playing. Wasn't really my thing but they had fun.

To top the evening off John took me to Bambara for dinner, oh my mouth was in heaven. Its only the very best food in town, of course its priced that way to. John asked during dinner why we didn't come more often, he remembered when they brought him the check.
