Date night
John and I are going out with another couple tonight for dinner. We are meeting them at 5:30 we were ready by 4:15. I am thinking maybe we need to go out more often if this is how excited we get about it.

Getting up early and updates
So I have decided that I need to start getting up with John before the sun rises. It sucks. I don't sleep very well lately at night and I don't like getting up once I have finally fallen into a good sleep. But I know it will be better for me. In the mean time I am sitting at my desk half asleep waiting for the Today show to come on so I can have something to at least focus on.
Today is John's birthday so I will be making him his requested dinner, ham and cheesy scalloped potatoes in the crock pot. He doesn't care about birthdays so I had to yank teeth just to get him to tell me what it is that he wanted to eat.
Scott is doing pretty good at school except for Math. It seems that some genius up here decided that no matter the skill level of the student that high school's are not allowed to offer anything below Algebra 1. Scott was in remedial math last year and never has even had a foundation for Algebra. Sometimes I wonder about people that make the laws regarding children's education.
Faith is doing great. We just had her parent teacher conferences and none of her teachers had anything bad to say about her. The worst said was that she needs to speak up because she has great ideas. I love my child but by the time you get to period 7, how much more can you here that your child is wonderful. She wasn't very happy when we told her math teacher that she needed challenged because she took pre-algebra last year and they are just now working on decimals in her current math class.
We found the local library, yes The because there is only one. It is good sized though and has a koi pond inside. We all have library cards now and have been reading like crazy. John went through four books in the first three days that we had the cards. I had to stop him from staying up all night reading. :) I tried an old trick of his mom's, to take the books away. Might have worked better if he couldn't just pick me up and move to get at the books. :)
Faith's alarm has gone off three times now and she still isn't out of bed, so I will sign off to go drag her out of bed.

Randoms
My tooth hurts but I hate new dentists so it can keep hurting.
Scott and math do not get along.
Everybody in my house thinks they need to wake me up in the morning, at least twice.
John bought me a dress form for Christmas and I know have a little black dress.
I am trying to watch all the recently released series on Netflix before we cancel it.
I am knitting a blanket with all my extra yarn.
I made three aprons this weekend and a curtain.
We have new neighbors with noisy noisy dogs.
We call our cats sleeping spells because it's hard to get out of bed when one is cuddled up next to you.
We got library cards this weekend and John went through four books already. :)
I got Faith's report card today and its all A's. She was getting a B+ in honers reading and didn't like that grade so she started studying.
I spend two hours a day entering sweepstakes and so far I have one a scentsy burner and candle bars, a steak dinner and a toilet paper cover.
Tried to go to church yesterday but I got the time wrong so we went to breakfast instead.
Wondering if it is normal for your teenage son to come home with cuts and bruises everyday from his friends house.
John is starting a blog for people who are wondering just what it is he is doing now. If you want access shoot me an email.
